PAMANA Celebrates Philippine Independence Day with Flag Raising at Boston City Hall

Boston, MA – June 12, 2024 – PAMANA (Philippine American Mainstream Advocacy for Nonpartisan Associations, Inc.) invites the community to celebrate Philippine Independence Day with a special flag raising ceremony and reception at Boston City Hall on Wednesday, June 12th. 

 

“Recognizing and celebrating Filipino culture and the community in Boston is essential,” said Jelyn Masa, Board Chair of PAMANA. “It not only honors our heritage but also strengthens our bonds and highlights our contributions to the vibrant tapestry of this city.” 

 

The day’s events will begin with a reception at 10am in the Piemonte Room on the 5th floor of Boston City Hall hosted by City Councilor Henry Santana. 

 

"I'm looking forward to celebrating and recognizing the rich heritage and meaningful contributions of our Boston Filipino community with a reception at City Hall," said Boston City Councilor At-Large Henry Santana. “It’s an honor to be hosting this event, and to be able to come together in community.” 

 

At 11am, participants will gather in front of Boston City Hall for the flag raising ceremony. The event will feature the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the raising of the Philippine flag, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage and history of the Filipino community.
